7 Reasons to Start A Blog

Have you been thinking of starting a blog lately? If you haven't taken the plunge, you should. There are many great reasons to start a blog, and it has never been easier to do. You can get started today right here at Families. com. Just click on the My Site Tab at the top left of the page. Then click on journal on the right side of the page to get started. You can also create your own blog on your existing website, too.

And now, here are seven reasons why you should start a blog.

1. To keep in touch with family and friends. Do you have long distance folks who would love to know more about you and your family? Having a blog is a great way to let everyone know what is going on in your world.

2. To connect with new people. Reading, writing and commenting on blogs is a great way to meet new people online. And who knows, it may spark offline friendships, too.

3. To share a skill. Do you like to knit? Scrapbook? Cook? A blog is a great way to share you skills and passions with others.

4. To make a statement. Do you have something to say? Whether is has to do with the current political climate or parenting debates, a blog is a wonderful avenue for being heard. as your traffic builds up, you'll reach lots of people to discuss the issues.

5. To make money. Yes, you can get paid to blog. If you have good writing skills, expertise and experience you can earn some money with a blog. You can become a blogger for hire, or generate ad revenue through blogging. Check out the Home Biz Blog for more details.

6. To promote a business. Do you have a home business? Whether you have goods or services to sell, a related blog can bring in the traffic.

7. To have fun. A blog allows you to express your creativity through words, photos, movies and more. Blogging can be a fun way to spend some time for yourself.
