Beatbuckle: A Belt Buckle for Your iPod

If you're looking for a neat gift for the iPod lover in your life, then a BeatBuckle may be an excellent choice. The BeatBuckle is essentially a belt buckle, which is designed to hold your iPod. A BeatBuckle can be an excellent choice for a child, to help them keep track of their iPod, or an adult who wants a convenient way to carry their iPod around with them.

The BeatBuckle is clear, and is designed to hold an iPod Nano, or iPod video. The buckle opens up and is easy to load with your iPod. The buckle is an actual belt buckle, so you will have to purchase a belt with a removable belt buckle and replace it with the BeatBuckle. Once attached to your belt you can wear your iPod on your belt, as easy as simply wearing your belt. There are openings on the buckle casing so you can operate your iPod as you typically would, while leaving it in the case. If you want to remove your iPod from the BeatBuckle, you can do so in seconds by simply opening the latches on each side of the buckle.

I had the opportunity to use one of these for the past few weeks and have been very impressed with it. I've never been one to wear specialty belt buckles, so I was a little hesitant at first, but the BeatBuckle was actually pretty convenient. I already had a belt with a detachable buckle, and was able to install the BeatBuckle fairly quickly. The BeatBuckle opens up on each side with so small sliding clips, and is extremely easy to load an iPod into. I would feel comfortable asking an elementary aged child to operate it.

Once in the buckle your iPod is fairly easy to operate. The only disadvantage I see in it, is that it can be fairly difficult to see your play lists without removing your iPod from the buckle. I can only imagine this task being much more difficult if you have a larger belly, and can not see your belt buckle. You also need to make sure your headphones are long enough to go from your belt, to your ears. I'm 5'7" and mine are barely long enough, people who are much taller may run into issues if they do not have a longer headphone chord.

Overall, I would recommend the BeatBuckle to anyone who is looking for a convenient way to carry their iPod Nano in situations where they need to keep their iPod hands free. BeatBuckle can be purchased on the BeatBuckle website.
