This past week has seen quite a variety of articles in the world of technology. And, if you want to get started on the next big holiday, check out the new blinkies. December 31st Computing Week in Review: December 17th Through December 30th Are you enjoying all of your new electronics and technology toys you may have received during the holidays? Perhaps you finally snagged that Wii or an HGTV? Now that the holidays are nearing a close, why not resolve to give your computer a little attention. Look for a future blog on all of the things you should be doing this year, such as backing up your computer files and using surge protectors for those valuable and delicate electronics. Meanwhile, why not check out some of the articles we have had in the past two weeks. January 1st Wal-mart MP3 Player Comes with Free Porn Imagine giving your 10-year-old daughter a MP3 video player for Christmas only to find out that it was preloaded with video porn and explicit songs? That is just what happened to one family, according to the Associated Press (AP), who are reporting the story from Cookeville, Tennessee. January 2nd Baby Name Wizards and Online Lists Still not sure what to name your baby? Let the Internet help with these wonderful and free web sites. January 3rd Just this morning, I got an e-mail from a friend and fellow mom. She had some questions about having a birthday party for her little boy who is about to turn two years old. That is when I started thinking about all of the different themes that we have done in the past six years for birthday parties. January 4th If you haven't yet purchased that flat screen television, here is another reason to wait. It seems that technology is catching up with our dreams, ditching the ugly cords and allowing us to have flat screen televisions that are wireless. January 5th It is never too early to get into the spirit and fun of Valentine's Day. This is especially true for our computers, which we seem to be looking at for so much of the day.
