Here is the Computing week in review for February 4th through February 10th. February 4th Computing Week in Review: January 28th Through February 3rd What a Super Bowl it was last night. Did you root for the winners or sympathize with the other team? By know, you probably know who one, but just in case you don't I won't reveal any secrets. How did you watch the game (if you did)? On a brand new HDTV or through Internet updates? Either way, technology is pretty cool, isn't it? Microsoft Bid for Yahoo Heats Up Last week, Microsoft made a 45 million dollar bid to buy Yahoo, swooping in shortly after the search engine giant announced that it would be forced to conduct employee layoffs sue to sagging funds. February 5th It seems that Microsoft will not be alone for much longer. Two new companies are currently considering bidding on Yahoo, upping the ante and the drama of the possible hostile takeover of the search engine giant, Yahoo. February 6th Apple Upgrades the iPhone and iTouch Apple has upgraded the iPhone with a new capacity. In addition to the 8GB iPhone for $399, there is also now a 16GB iPohone with a retail price of $499. When the iPhone was first released, in came in the 4GB version and the 8GB version. Apple then decided to discontinue the 4GB capacity iPhone and cut the price on the 8GB version. Apple feels that while consumers are looking for an iPhone with more than 4GB, that there is still plenty of room in their hearts for the 8GB. February 7th It has been a long wait, but we have some news. There are new details about the video game collaboration between Steven Spielberg, legendary film maker and Electronic Arts the popular video game maker. February 8th Take one of these and I'll look at your insides in the morning. Well, not quite, but science fiction just got a little closer, thanks to a new tiny camera pill that can be swallowed like a common pain killer.
