Microsoft recently submitted a patent application for a very interesting application that appears to be a way of turning your car windshield into a sort of computer desktop. The patent application calls the device an “Adaptive heads-up user interface for automobiles.” The application also includes some drawings that clearly represent an automobile windshield that contains a sort of overlaid interface. Desktop Supercomputers And A Contest

The next generation of desktop computers just may be arriving soon. That is because developers at the University of Maryland engineering department have created a prototype for a supercomputer that is the size of an average desktop machine. Supercomputers that have speeds that are 100 times faster than standard desktop computers have been used for years for large applications on a massive scale. Here is a bit of interesting technology news. We have heard about artifical intelligence, but how about artifical life? Today the Associated Press (AP) is reporting that artificial life may be happening very soon, with the first step happening as soon as six months. A complete form of article life, that is a functioning live cell, is expected to be “born” in the next three to ten years.
