Hot EA Games Now on the Mac

EA games are now available for the Mac. Apple announced the release of six new titles of video games that are playable on the Mac, along with gaming gear to enhance the playing experience.

Apple is recommending that these games be played on the newer Intel-based Macs. Some of the games list the Intel processor as a requirement, although rumor has it that the games are all playable on older Macs, but with either a decrease in performance or with glitches that may pause the games or require them to be restarted.

Some of the games are available right now, while others are available for pre-order. Prices for the games are either $29.95 or $39.95.

The new releases are as follows (descriptions are from Apple):

Madden NFL 08

"Feel what it's like to be a field general making key personnel decisions on both sides of the ball during an NFL game."

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08

"Play with the confidence of a pro as you battle the best PGA golfers on the most courses ever in your quest for a championship."

Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

"Return to the Tiberium Universe where the infamous Kane is leading a massive global assault. Only you can stop him."

Harry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixTM

"Join "Dumbledore's Army" as they prepare themselves and other courageous young wizards for battle against Voldemort."

Need for Speed Carbon

"Immerse yourself in the world's most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing in an all-out war for the city."

Battlefield 2142

"Coordinate the efforts of your teammates to secure Earth's last fragile pieces of livable land as an ice age depletes all resources."

Mad Catz Game Pad Pro for Mac
