Basically the way it works is that users can upload a favorite photo and choose one of 35 different design styles to alter their photograph into art. There is Andy Warhol-inspired pop art, oil masterpieces worthy (maybe) of Rembrant, photo collages and comic strips to chose among. Go ahead and crop the photo, resize it and have some free fun. You can preview your finished piece and even e-mail it to friends and family, all again, for free. Once selected, your artwork will be printed on either good quality paper or on stretched canvas. There is framing, too, of course. PhotoFiddle.com promises to complete your order within four days and ship it out as soon as possible after.

Nothing about this service is new. You could find the same services at the back of any magazine, from The Farmer's Almanac to Woman's Day. What is new however, is all of the publicity that PhotFiddle.com is getting, thanks to an appearance today on the national morning television show, The Today Show. PhotoFiddle is now cool and everyone wants their own unique piece of art. People have flooded the site. Don't bother trying to get there today, you'll only get the following message: "Due to the enormous response from our Today Show segment. Our site has been maxed out at 10,000 simultaneous users. Please try again soon." Hmm, 10,000 users. Perhaps have a PhotoFiddle is not going to be so unique after all. At least by visiting the website while it is "maxed out," you can get directions for a 10 percent off coupon.

Prices range from $14.95 to $3,499.95, and this does not include framing or shipping costs.
