Kids today don't have to bother writing out their letters by hand anymore. Nor do they need to seal and address an envelop or drop it into the mail. Santa is a modern guy and has a host of elves manning his web and e-mail station. Sometimes the big guy will get right back to you, but other times he just might be a bit busy to reply, although I am told that he reads every letter he gets.

Here are some of the places you can go online to send and sometimes receive letters from Santa.

Don't forget to supervise your children and monitor what kind of personal information they send out. You never know who else might be watching.

Hi Cards offers a letter to Santa form. Kids can choose from pull down menus, so they don't even have to think of what to say. When the letter goes out, you can opt to include music and get a copy of your original letter sent back to you. The website itself is a little dated, so I have my doubts about getting an actual reply. Try it and see.

And not to leave out your pet, he or she can send a letter to Rudolph.

EmailSanta.com is a very nice website that will help kids create a letter to Santa that is a bit more personalized. There are nice features, such as photos and the option to share the letter online or not. There are also plenty of other fun Santa-related activities for kids, such as a Christmas trivia game, and advent calendar, magic photo albums and coloring pages.

Cardsforfun.com's Santa letter is refreshing as a website, because it is a no-nonsense, easy to use way to send Santa an e-mail. And Santa does e-mail back in a timely manner, as long as you include a correct e-mail address.
