How Did We Ever Live Without a DVR?

I know TiVo’s been around for a while now, but Wayne and I aren’t always the most up-to-date techy users. In fact, we’re usually well behind most trends. It was only three years ago we got cell phones and only because he had to for his job. And it was only this past Christmas I got a digital camera. So it’s really no surprise we waited as long as we did to finally upgrade to DVR service with Comcast. Which we did this past week. The Joys of DVR

I was indoctrinated to the world of DVR this weekend. Truth be told, I have never been much of a television fan. If I have time to sit around mindlessly and stare at a box, it’s going to be my computer monitor. After all, what’s the plot of a 30 minute sitcom in comparison to the antics of friends on Vox? But instead of making more confessions (I’ve got some more coming, actually, but in a separate article), I’m going to discuss the CNN.com article by Sarah Jio that Jade sent me. The one that’s kicking off … Continue reading

My Husband & The Television

You know, our lives are comprised of the little moments – moments of transition, moments of revelation and moments of humor. My husband and I talk through instant messages when he’s working. It’s one way we can keep in constant contact and sometimes, it’s a series of leaving messages that the other responds to when they get back to their desk. February Sweeps Today launches what the television industry calls the February sweeps period. It’s when they pull out all the stops in order to entertain the audience and draw them in. Their numbers will help them determine what they … Continue reading
