Treat Your iPod Like Your Baby

Kori Rodley Irons recently posted an excellent article about how many people compare pets, objects and life events to parenting. (You can click here to read it.) She makes some excellent points. Well, I have a strange new phenomena in the "just like being a parent" category for her. It seems that the iPod, that little wonder of technology, is inspiring maternal and paternal feelings in many of its owners.

The Globe and Mail, a Canadian newspaper, recently published a story about a heat alert in the area. Along with warning parents and pet owners, it included a warning for the owners of iPods. People should be quite careful not to leave their iPods alone in the car. Just as with a pet or a baby, as the car heats up, the little iPod brain, or at least the lithium ion battery, can fry. You can read the entire story here.

Seattlepi.com, a website of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, includes an article that offers detailed instructions about how to knit your iPod it's own little sweater, and encourages you to use buttons to complete the look. So get out your knitting needles. You can read that story right here.

What is next? iPod jogging outfits? Or perhaps your iPod would like to go black tie.

Well, something perhaps a little stranger. For those ipod owners who are also actually parents, you can treat your baby as an iPod instead of the other way around. ipop my baby is a company that offers t-shirts and onsies that feature a large click wheel on the front. So, the next time your baby cries, you can try to change its mode or just just lower the volume a bit. You can check out the clothing over here.
