Wednesday Widgets: TV Forecast

Spending too much time at the computer and not enough time watching TV? Well this week's handy little widget can help remedy that problem.

There are very few shows that I watch on a regular basis, partly because I don't want to get so involved in the story lines when I'm not sure if I will be able to catch the next episode that follows the cliffhanger. It used to be that television shows would follow in order, a new episode every week until the hiatus in the summer. Well, that hiatus is still there, but the shows are no longer offering new episodes every week.

It is frustrating. If I happen to remember to set time aside for my favorite show, chances are it is a repeat or is replaced by a made-for-TV movie or special investigative report. And trying to week through program line ups for information on one or two shows just isn't worth my time.

Luckily, someone finally came up with a TV programing guide in widget form that will allow users to customize the forecast for just their favorite shows, whether that is one or one hundred in number. it keeps them all together in one place on the dashboard, and that is a good thing. A cool feature of this particular widget is that you can use it to directly download your favorite episodes directly into iTunes, so there are no more good excuses for not knowing what happened on the Sopranos.

There is also a time zone adjuster. You can easily reset your time zone to New York with just a click, or adjust it to any other time zone through "manual" settings.

Here are your download details.
